Grace Iris Ministries is a Christian ministry headquartered in Bobbili, India, in the far northeastern section of the state of Andhra Pradesh. The ministry is built upon the foundation laid by Canadian Baptist Missionaries, Rev. George and Matilda Churchill who began their work in October of 1878. What is today Grace Iris Ministries is carrying on the same faithful Christian service. This ministry serves Bobbili and the rural surrounding region with ministries which include: a Christian boarding school (~150 students), a network of local pastors and churches, pastoral training (lead by Dr. Josh Powell, graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary), church-planting, medical and dental camps, clothing and rice distribution, goat distribution, women’s prayer groups (up to 800 women), bore well drilling, and other activities to help support and serve their local villages and communities. Grace Iris Ministries seeks to be a blessing and light to their Hindu and Muslim neighbors, as well as their brothers and sisters in Christ.
This ministry needs your prayers. As a board of directors we hope to generate support for this tremendous ministry, but the support this ministry MUST HAVE is the blessing and power of God. Without God’s sustaining work this ministry will fail (John 15:5). Though our support is important, the fact is no amount of monetary, material, or training support can overcome the obstacles this ministry faces in its goal of glorifying God and seeing the people of India come to know Jesus Christ as their savior. A miracle is required for this work to continue and to continue to be fruitful in its endeavor. Please look over this website and pray for the leaders, administrators, children, pastors, church-planters, and all the believers that make up Grace Iris Ministries. |
